Social, Zionist, and Democratic Education in Israel
Educators
For change.
The Meorer Training Center has been Israel's leading institution for values-based and informal education for over 30 years. Through a wide range of educational and community programs and projects, we work to strengthen democracy, deepen Zionist identity, and build social resilience in the State of Israel.
Our uniqueness lies in our ability to transform knowledge and theory into educational practice: a pedagogy of hope – combining learning from the past, looking ahead to a shared future, and taking active steps in the present. We create experiential, multidisciplinary, and informal learning spaces that foster curiosity, critical thinking, civic responsibility, and a sense of mission. At the heart of our work is a democratic ecosystem model in which every partner has a role and influence.
Each program is tailored to the organization's identity and vision, in full partnership with the education and management teams, so that the connection between values and practice becomes natural and organic. The model instills deep layers of values-based leadership, strengthens personal and community resilience, and creates sustainable processes that become embedded in the organizational culture.
In preparation for International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we have prepared a social studies lesson to assist educators in facilitating a discussion on this topic. The lesson highlights the importance of commemorating the Holocaust even today, in 2026, when Jewish communities around the world are facing an increase in antisemitism. significant In anti-Semitic incidents
